Stay at home Style
Hey my Hippes! I hope you all are maintaining a peaceful heart and mind during this time. We’ve all been in the house for so long and it can get mundane. I’ve decided to share some of the simple tricks that have helped me on days where it all seemed to run together. If I’m being honest, there have been plenty of days full of wearing PJ’s and zoom meetings with no bottoms:) ,however I try to get dressed at least twice a week,so that I don’t loose all sense of self. My five go to style essentials are simple and make it look like you tried in less than 15 minutes.
A head scarf: I find that just the quick tie of a scarf around my head can make me feel glamorous.
A bold lip and eyeliner: This pair can lift any mood and face to new levels.
A big Gold hoop earring: My favorite accessory ever, makes even sweat pants look posh.
A classic button down: I love this classic white one with a twist because it can be cool and chic at the same time.
A good pair of jeans: I like these because they have a tailored trouser look, but feel like a good pair of leggings.
I love all the items that I’m wearing. The scarf I’m wearing is from Ann Taylor and I’ve had it for more than 30 years. They don’t carry it anymore, The white shirt I’m wearing is so comfortable and is a classic with a twist. I got it a few weeks ago from Anthropologie.
To me there is nothing better than a gold hoop earring. I got these from Target in a pack of 3 for $7.99. I love them and so far they haven’t turned color. Happy hooping:)
These jeans have quickly become my favorite. They fit like a glove. I’m 5’1,so I ordered the 30 length. The length is perfect. I also ordered a pair in the 32 lengths for when I want my jeans to hang over my big heels. They truly are an original and I can see why people have worn them for years. I was super excited to try this clinique blush, but I ended up loving it more as an eye shadow. In the pics above, I have a blackish-grey color in the crease of my eye, but the base lid is this blush in the color Cola Pop.
My secret weapon…Black liquid eyeliner. I have tried almost every brand and this one with the perfect combination of sharp tip applicator, and all-day wear is hands down my favorite. I can always find it at Walmart and Target and its under $7.
